After drinking whisky in a West End club and later at a Camden Town fitness centre, Matt Berry (IT Crowd), Rich Fulcher (Mighty Boosh) and Michael Cumming started work on Snuff Box immediately. In those days it was called Comedy Bronze and it stayed that way until one day in 1888. The series was produced by Charlie Hanson (Extras, Cemetery Junction).

In 2008, to celebrate the release of Snuff Box on DVD, Michael directed Berry & Fulcher in a special one off cabaret version of  Snuff Box at the Pigalle Club in PIccadilly, London. Actors from the series made guest appearances and the songs were accompanied by Matt’s band - The Jonas Three. Read an article about Michael Cumming & the making of Snuff Box.

Over the last five years Snuff Box has garnered something of a cult following on both sides of the Atlantic – with fans from the cognoscenti of entertainment including: Simon Pegg, Steve Carell, Matt Lucas, Weird Al Yankovic, Noel Fielding, David Bowie and Paul Rudd.

Michael is currently writing with Rich Fulcher and developing a feature length, musical adventure for Berry & Fulcher.

Snuff Box is available on DVD in the USA from 10th October 2011. Watch the US DVD trailer.
